ABOUT me.

I never thought I would become a therapist, especially after my first experience with one. I just left what I thought was my life’s purpose - being a Green Beret - and was struggling more than I realized or wanted to admit.

My first session didn’t go well. The second was worse. I tried someone else and he was a nice guy, but I didn’t feel connected. Instead, I felt more lost and confused about what I needed.

I wrote-off therapy as a way to help me and honestly had a negative view towards the profession. While I don’t regret my decision since it proved to be a valuable experience, I learned it was short-sighted.

My experience taught me what no textbook, podcast, video, or other person’s opinion ever could: what it feels like to sit on the couch struggling, in pain, unsure how to move forward.

I decided to become a therapist as a result of my own healing journey which included revisiting therapy, lifestyle changes, and emerging treatments.

“Healing journey” sounds great but the reality looks much different. Years of peeling back the layers, looking deep within and confronting what I tried so long to avoid is some of the most difficult work, as well as the most transformative.

I became a therapist to help others navigate their difficulties shoulder-to-shoulder as they courageously do this work.

My life has been a living classroom on how our experiences impact the body, brain, mind and spirit and I am a perpetual student.

I spent the majority of my life in high-performance cultures exploring the power of the mind-body connection and facing adversity head on as a collegiate All-American athlete and in Special Forces.

I see myself as a guide that can help you with both professional training and lived experience. I believe to be with someone in their often painful difficulties navigating the uncertainty of life is one of the greatest privileges of being human.

We work together as two human beings doing our best to grow through adversity with the courage and curiosity to face our difficulties and answer the call of life.

This is more than my profession. It is my calling.

areas of treatment

I see people as human beings, not a list of problems. My approach incorporates the latest in clinical research-based treatments with trauma-informed care, practical application of training the nervous system, and exploring the mind through depth psychology and philosophy. I work with the whole person physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually to move forward in their life and grow as a human being through their difficulties.
